| V. C. Khilare |

| Dr. V.C. Khilare is a Senior Lecturer in Botany, Vasantrao Naik Mahavidyalaya, Aurangabad. He did his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. His area of research is biocontrol of plant pathogens, rhizosphere pathology and fungicide resistance in plant pathogens. He has participated in more than 30 national and international conferences in India. He is research guide and four students are working under his guidance. He has published more than 38 research papers in national and international journals in the field of fungicide resistance, disease management, biopesticides, microbial physiology and rhizosphere pathology. Dr. Khilare is life member of many professional bodies. He has edited four books namely 'Seed Technology' and 'Integrated Disease Management of Crop Plants', 'Sustainable Environmental Management' and 'Crop Diseases'. He was recipient of 'Tilak Award', 'Deshpande Awa rd' for Dominion First at M.Sc., PR. Verma Award by SMPP, Udaipur for his excellent work in management of fungicide resistance and application of biopesticides. He was 'Councillor' of Indian Phytopathological Society (WZ). He has completed three research projects and recently UGC sanctioned a major research project on 'Management of Fungicide Resistance in Anthracnose of Grapes and its Molecular Characterization'. |
