Dr. Anil Bhuimali is Professor of Economics, Department of Economics, University of North Bengal, West Bengal, India. His areas of interest, among others, include, microeconoics, international economics, development economics, gender economics and resource economics. He has contributed many research papers in national and international workshop lseminarsl conferences and published more than fifty articles in economics and social sciences journals. He has written, co-authored and edited 15 books. His most recent books are trade union movement in Bangladesh with Gholam Kibria, and Kanak Kanti kBagchi (2006), globalization and human rights 92006), foreign trade of India under wto regime with Satrajit Dutta (2006) consumer credit programme of commercial banks in Bangladesh with Md. Sha Alam (2007), women in the face of globlisation with S. Anil Kumar (2007), development of scheduled caste (2007), and some regional issues in south asia perspective with Chandan Kumar Mukhopadhyay (2007). He is in the editorial board of Indian Development review and Shantipath and is the editor of South Asian Journal of Human Right published from New Delhi. |
