Dr. R. S. Jalal, Reader, Department of Economics, Kumaon University, Nainital, has teaching and research experience of 26 years to his credit.  A scholar of outstanding ability, his areas of interest is International Economics and Rural Economics.  He has a number of Publications to his credit; and he is actively engaged in research.  Dr. Jalal has participated in number of seminars, conference and workshops and has over three dozens research papers to his credit published in reputed books and leading economic journals of India.   His books (Rural Development in India, Industrial Entrepreneurship (Edit) and Rural Cooperatives in India) are widely known in the academic world.  His recent publication Emerging Dimensions of Global Trade is very much appreciated among the intellectuals.  Nearly a dozen researchers have benefited by his scholarly mastered guidance towards their doctoral degree and eight of them already been awarded PhD degree
