This book presents original English translations of a selection of Jnaneshwar’s poems, as an introduction for Western readers.

ABOUT THE TRANSLATOR Anand Mundra was born and raised in Mahatma Gandhi’s ashrams in India. His father, who was secretary to Gandhi’s spiritual heir, Vinoba Bhave, sang Jnaneshwar’s songs to Anand throughout his early childhood. A resident of the United States and former aerospace engineer, Anand now brings the mytical, philosophical treasures of the Marathi language to the West.
