The Yuddha Kanda, or Book of War, is the sixth of seven Kandas (books) in Valmiki’s Ramayana. It is often sold as part of a complete set of the Ramayana.
The Yuddha Kanda is frequently divided into two volumes for ease of reading and handling.
The Yuddha Kanda focuses on the climactic battle between Rama’s forces and Ravana’s army in Lanka. It includes the rescue of Sita, the defeat of Ravana, and the restoration of Rama to his rightful place as king.
Beyond the battle scenes, the Yuddha Kanda explores themes of dharma (righteousness), karma, and the nature of good and evil.
